class schedule!
For fall semester, for those who care
M/W: Japanese 102, 9-1130
T/Th: Arabic 101, 930-1200; Chorus 1-215
is short schedule this semester. jpn met the first time today. different teacher than the one i've had for my other two classes (101, kanji). apparently we were supposed to know positive past tense adjectives. oops.
not sure what i'll be singing in chorus, or how many of the people from last semester will be in it. shall find out tomorrow.
got my arabic textbook, it seems to be largely about the alphabet and various words rather than grammar (based on my briefbrief gleanings from skimming it). wonder if i'll be learning the egyptian or levantine versions, since those're the two colloquial ones discussed in the book. but it should be fun! and then i'll have at least an introduction to four language families (germanic, romance, japonic, and semitic), always a useful thing for one who wishes to be a linguistics major ^_^
