update again

the microcenter guys are gonna try to back up my old computer, but they said it might not be possible. couldn't give me an idea of how likely it was that it wouldn't work, but i'll be hopeful.

definitely going to get a new computer--more cost-effective in the long run, especially since i was planning on getting a new one next semester anyway. narrowed it down to three, but i don't know much about computers, so...

option 1: this is the cheapest. i saw it in the store, and it looked okay. i don't know anything about this brand, though, and it has significantly less hard drive space than the others.

option 2: this one i think has more hard drive space, but it's a bit above my planned $400 limit. on the other hand, i've had gateway comps before and i like them, so...iono.

option 3: this is the one that the guy at the store reccommended when i told him the basics of what i wanted. it's probably the one i'm gonna go with, but i don't know much about acer.

anyone have any thoughts?
