so, i have an issue that's concerning me.
anyway, due largely to the unfortunate reality that, despite the fact that my employer told me that they were good at working around student schedules, it's been like pulling teeth every time i've had to input an availability change, and requests for days off for concerts (i'm in choir) are as often as not unaddressed until it's too late for them to be approved. so i handed in my notice on monday, november 28, 2011, giving my last available day as 12/30/11.
my problem is...well, it's been four days since then, and i haven't heard anything. not from my boss, not from hr, not from the automated message system through which you request days off...nothing. i know the faxed-in notice went through, because i have the receipt from kinko's. should i have heard something by now? should i try resubmitting my notice? talk to hr? when should i make another move? i don't want to find out it didn't go through by being scheduled on the 31st, especially since i leave the country for three weeks on the 1st.
advice? please?
