class today was interesting, at least for me--learning about how to find the roots of words, and some of the various changes that can be made to them to turn them into nouns/gerunds/adjectives/passive voice--like, for example, if you take the root كتب, (write), and change it to كاتب, it means writer. stuff like that. we also learned about the ten different verby things you can do to roots to make them slightly different--like, كتب would be to write, but اكتتب would be subscribe. stuff like that.

after class, we got dinner at essentially a fast food place, but for local stuff--like hummus and shuwarma and stuff like that. it was pretty decent.

then we went to the mall (lame, i know, but a bunch of us wanted to try and find specific things, like shorts for if it's warm enough to swim when we go to the dead sea on friday). also, i'm probably going to get my brother a riding crop (like for camels, as a gag gift), and then give him a camelbone box as a serious present. think that would cause too much of an upset? :D
