So, for those of you who write original fiction (or fanfic with a lot of OCs), if/when you get published and gain a substantial fandom, what do you think is going to be the weirdest (for you, as the original author) popular ship? Excluding bizarre crossovers. Just...something I've been pondering lately.

Also, for the stuff I actually plan on publishing: I imagine Valeria with anyone at all will confuse me, because to me she's fairly clearly aromantic (though not asexual; she has lovers apart from her husband). And if anyone ships anything in the Voices collection (apart from maybe Emilia/Desdemona) then I'm doing something wrong.

For me, I'm pretty sure that if Mort/James ever gets a substantial fandom as a published book, there will be Mort/James porn on the internet. And I will stumble across it someday. At which point my determination to be a cool author and not throw fits about fanfic will be SEVERELY TESTED. ;P (It won't help any that Mort informs me he will be throwing a kicking screaming temper tantrum inside my head over the matter, and damn his bad leg....)

I just. Repulsed asexual. (Mort, not me.) How hard is this to comprehend? :P
