this morning was made of suck.

So, this was my morning:

• Get to work like usual
• Comp freezes when I'm trying to log onto the phones.
• Restart comp.
• Comp won't boot up.
• Restart again.
• Same thing.
• Run startup repair when prompted
• At least am right by supervisor K's desk, so not in trouble
• Sit twiddling thumbs for 40 minutes
• Contemplate blood sacrifice to computer gods
• Realize this is bad form at work
• Afraid to cancel out because might have to start all over.
• Manage not to burst into tears through Herculean effort
• Sit twiddling thumbs for another ten minutes.
• Twenty minutes.
• Thirty goddamn minutes
• Finally throw caution to the wind and hit cancel.
• "The current repair operation cannot be cancelled."
• Blood sacrifice idea looking more and more attractive.
• Hard reboot
• Computer starts. HALLELUJAH
• Finally get on phones close to 90 minutes after shift started
• Promise computer gods they will get their blood sacrifice as soon as I get home.
• HALLE-FREAKING-LUJAH.
