She did. She said in 2008 that she wasn't going to write any more vampire chronicles books anymore. And then she announced like six months ago that 'nope, I'm doing another one that's coming out Halloween. It may or may not be a reboot from just after Book 4 of the series, every summary I release is going to be SUPER FREAKING AMBIGUOUS about that.'
