sooo i'm plotting a valdemar fic, set sometime pre-vanyel. and i'm having some dificulty recalling the details of the valdemaran naming phonetic system, and i only have the exile books, and have had to wait for-freaking-ever to get the others after putting them on hold at my local library. sooo anyone who's read the books and can give me some tips, i need to name four men and four women, plus two men and one woman from out-kingdom and four companions--two confirmed male, one confirmed female, one i haven't decided yet.

also, do i want to call the monarch's own companion taver, rolan, or kyrith?

edit: one of the men from outkingdom is the same as one of the valdemaran men--he was kidnapped when he was about two, and his 'father' gave him a new name, which is what he thinks of himself as, until it gets out who he was born, so i do need both names for him. if that affects suggestions at all.

Well for the companion name I would stick with Kyrith, Taver was the king's herald companion in Vanion's time and Rolan was the King's own's in the Arrow series,I think, which in itself strange since that is the one Companion who is either passed down upon the herald's death or is "Grove Born" as for names, I feel like they come from old viking and old british...at least that is the feel I get.
