so, i had all four of my classes today (er, yesterday, it's after midnight now). and they're all awesome, so hopefully i'll be able to switch french sections and keep them all.

1. French 215. standard language course, but it looks like a fun one. last level of standard language course before all the lit courses, so i want to take it as soon as possible. which means i need to find a way to switch into the ten oclock section so it doesn't conflict with
 

2. History of Theatre and Drama 1. OH MY GOD. such love and win. i know half the people already from shows and BPT last year. and the professor? 'i'm ariel watson. you can call me ariel, or doctor watson--which is totally the only reason i got a doctorate--or doc watson or whatever you feel like.' plus, the course material is awesome and our final project is to design a production of a play from one of the playwrights/movements we look into, tying the historical context to modernity and fun stuff like that. i can't wait ^_^

3. Murder and Adultery: The French and Russian Novel. first, we read a bunch of stories. then we read two french and two russian novels (i forget the first, crime and punishment, madame bovary, and anna karenina) and talk about how the russian novels are basically taking the concepts of the french novels and going STFU YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG STUPID FRENCH PEOPLE. and i'm going to get a half-credit for doing a tutorial reading exerpts of the french novels in french and dicussing them wit the teacher. good times.

4. Introduction to the New Testament. topic itself is fascinating enough. but the professor, in addition to being totally awesomely insane and prone to tangents on baseball and coffee, wrote one of the first books on the noncanonical gospels, and several on the gospel of thomas. SO.

i'm really looking forward to this semester :D
