it was a bit of a weird day in all the right ways
1/12/12
let's see, what did i do today...
well, in class, we started off trying to get through the reading and somehow ended up on a tangent about superheroes, which led, naturally, to a discussion of words for various farm animals.
then one of our vocabulary words was 'diarrhea', which made us all bust up laughing like the six-year-olds we really are when d used it in a sentence. including the teacher.
then we played backwards pictionary and both ustatha nadia and ustath mohammed got really into it.
...it was a fun day. :D
after class, i just sort of chilled in the room for the afternoon, then all of us--together with the advanced class--went out for dinner at a...fremaritalian restaurant? i don't know, but it was still yummy. and the cab i was in got lost and dropped us off like...forever away from where we were supposed to be. so we walked around trying to find it and calling back and forth with the peope who had found the restaurant until we finally hailed another cab and made it.
then we went to find a place to hang out for a while longer, and actually found a bar. so that was kind of cool, if very loud.
tomorrow we go to the dead sea, and it's supposed to be at least 70F, so i might get in the water. hope y'all are well, and i'll fill you in on that tomorrow night, since it almost certainly won't wipe me out the way petra did. <3
