so, i'm drifting into a genre i managed to avoid (huzzah buried child fade-to-black). and i have no idea what i'm doing. details behind
So, I just finished reading Sex with Kings--which I highly reccommend, incidentally, thank you for loaning it to me, Kat, I'll give it back next time I see you ^_^. For an original collaborative project, I have an actress who was a duke's mistress who is probably going to absorb some of Nell Gwyn's characteristics, in addition to those of Elizabeth Barry, who she's kinda sorta named after, because Nell is just that awesome, but this post isn't about Christine.
I'm putting together a smutfic about a prince somewhat unwillingly taking a mistress when his pregnant wife is fed up with him trying to seduce her while she's pregnant--she doesn't particularly enjoy pregnancy, however much she enjoys sex. For a number of reasons, he's resolved not to have a mistress, and she selects a young woman to coach him and get him off her back. If you know what I mean.
And there's my problem. I am still the proud possessor of a platinum v-card and trashy romance novels make me giggle too much to actually learn crafting from their sex scenes. And I need to be explicit about this seduction, since it's kinda sorta the whole point of the story (plus, even if I personally think they're overused/distasteful/often unnecessary/diminishing the power of the act of love/procreation, there are times when, despite my third complaint, they are necessary, and this is a relatively low-risk place to experiment. But I need advice. How does one go about writing a young, pretty girl seducing a prince who wants to be extremely and actively faithful to his pregnant wife?
