halp plz

so, i'm drifting into a genre i managed to avoid (huzzah buried child fade-to-black). and i have no idea what i'm doing. details behind

So, I just finished reading Sex with Kings--which I highly reccommend, incidentally, thank you for loaning it to me, Kat, I'll give it back next time I see you ^_^. For an original collaborative project, I have an actress who was a duke's mistress who is probably going to absorb some of Nell Gwyn's characteristics, in addition to those of Elizabeth Barry, who she's kinda sorta named after, because Nell is just that awesome, but this post isn't about Christine.

I'm putting together a smutfic about a prince somewhat unwillingly taking a mistress when his pregnant wife is fed up with him trying to seduce her while she's pregnant--she doesn't particularly enjoy pregnancy, however much she enjoys sex. For a number of reasons, he's resolved not to have a mistress, and she selects a young woman to coach him and get him off her back. If you know what I mean.

And there's my problem. I am still the proud possessor of a platinum v-card and trashy romance novels make me giggle too much to actually learn crafting from their sex scenes. And I need to be explicit about this seduction, since it's kinda sorta the whole point of the story (plus, even if I personally think they're overused/distasteful/often unnecessary/diminishing the power of the act of love/procreation, there are times when, despite my third complaint, they are necessary, and this is a relatively low-risk place to experiment. But I need advice. How does one go about writing a young, pretty girl seducing a prince who wants to be extremely and actively faithful to his pregnant wife?

Ya know...

There's a reason that they call them "Trashy romance novels".

But, as a guy I'd have to say that whether she's pregnant or not shouldn't matter. If he wants to be faithful because he's in love with her, she could be horribly disfigured and he'd not care. (And, we won't even talk about pervy guys and pregnant wives.)

So, I think I'd start off with an outline of a story about how the surrogate worked to weave her way around and within his feelings of love. She is not trying to overcome them, but to strengthen them by creating a temporary place for herself, as would a nurse with the wounded, and by showing him how much his wife cares for him and loves him.

And, then I think I'd flesh out, as it were, the details of how she leads him through his difficult time.

I could probably come up with perhaps 5 steps that circumnavigate the gradual accomplishment of her goal.

What do you think?

...i guess i explained this badly. he's not being faithful to her because she's pregnant, he's being faithful to her for other reasons, has been since the beginning of their marriage, and plans to until it ends. however, he also has a voracious sexual appetite, and, since he wants to be faithful to his wife, she's who he turns to. she is not interested in having sex with him while she's pregnant, and she's the one who recruits the mistress.

In part it would depend on the character of the young woman. Since she's being recruited for seduction, one would assume that she does *not* still have her shiney v-card, so she'd have a proven method of going about this... which should fail spectacularly for the sake of story. Once her method (whatever that happens to be... maybe drunking him up and throwing herself at him) fails, she should go about deliberately exploiting his appetite against him until he's ready to hump any willing human/surface/postbox/whatever and then *bam* she's there.

As a smut writer, I would be more than happy to beta/provide dialogue/whatever for this story as you have piqued my interest and this is (laughably) my area of expertise.
