((no promises on how quickly I will actually respond but I promise I will in a vague Soonish timeframe XD))

Wine - at least one member of the dumbass trio from the untitled story, I can't remember their names, the ones where two of the people are sorta uneasily sharing the third
Betrayed - Lucifer
Joy - Zak and Kara
Feel free to choose one or none!
Joy - Zak and Kara (Horizons)
It wasn’t easy to find privacy on a ship, but Zak didn’t want to wait until the next time they made port--for one thing, he wasn’t sure he could hold on to his question for two more days. For another, if this conversation went as he hoped it would, they would want to move quickly, as soon as they returned to Venice.
Still, there were a few places where privacy could be found, which was how he and Kara had ended up here; Zak had shamelessly leaned on his status as the Commander’s son to make sure he was on watch in the crow’s nest while she was working on the rigging on the same mast.
Upon climbing up and seeing him there, Kara had grinned, rolled her eyes, and said, “Just remember to watch the horizon instead of me, sailor.”
He’d laughed and given her a teasing little salute. “You say that like I can’t do both.”
“Yeah, because I know you,” she’d said; but it hadn’t stopped her from positioning herself as close to the nest as she could, while she set about her own tasks. Close enough to talk. Almost, but not quite, close enough to touch.
He was actually capable of dividing his attention, and she knew it. She’d been the one to teach him, after all, almost everything he knew about sailing.
That was back when he'd known her as Carlo Bianchi; he’d been…very impressed, by the young sailor’s strength and grace and wit. Impressed enough to make him think of his grandfather’s dead brother, and the whispers he’d heard from some of the older servants, and start to wonder.
Of course, he’d learned that Carlo was really Kara Thrace, so it ended up being a moot point in the end, but Zak was pretty sure that it wouldn’t have mattered to him either way.
Particularly now, when he saw her tangled in the rigging, doing what she did best, with tendrils of blonde hair flying around her face in the wind off the sea--
“Hey, Zak,” she said. “Horizon?”
“I’m watching,” he said. “…can I ask you something?”
It wasn’t how things were done, not in his family--probably not in hers, either; but now they were here, and if he sat on the question any longer, he thought he would burst.
“Sure,” she said, shifting her position in the ropes so she could look up at him.
“Will you marry me?”
It was lucky, probably, that Kara was as good a sailor as she was. A lesser man--woman--person--might have fallen, based on the surprise in her face.
”What?”
“When we get back to Venice,” he said. “We could do it, if you want. I mean, Grandfather will be furious, and my brother will be…well…Lee about it, but I think my father will understand? And…and the more I think about my future, the harder I find to imagine it without you there. I love you, Carlo. Kara. Stelletta mia. And…and more than anything else in the entire world, I want to spend the rest of my life with you, if you’ll have me. ” He took a breath. “If you will, if you…we can go to a priest, as soon as we reach the city, and then…and then I have friends in King Louis’ court, in France, we can stay with them until the scandal dies down. If this…if you want this.”
For a long moment, she just stared at him, long enough that his heart began to sink. Oh, no. Oh, no, I said too much, I read this wrong, this wasn’t--she didn’t feel as strongly as I did, why did I have to open my big mouth--
But then, “I must be out of my frakking mind,” she muttered, then scurried up the rigging to meet him; somehow, she kept her balance as she grabbed his collar and pulled him down into a hot, hungry kiss; the cool sea wind a contrast to the warmth of her hands, of her body, so close to him.
“…Kara?” he asked, when she finally broke it.
She rolled her eyes. “Yes, sailor,” she said. “Yes, I will marry you.”
