so, i read a lot of high fantasy/science fiction epic-type stuff/etc. of my three primary fandoms at the moment, one of them has protagonists older than i am.

one of the books i'm reading now--towers of midnight, the latest wheel of time book--drives this kinda home. it's taken 13 books to travel two years (which is an issue with the series, but anyway) making the core group of protagonists between 18 and 20.

i am about to turn 22.

they are off conquering/saving/destorying (it's complicated, it makes sense in context) the world.

what the fuck am i doing with my life?
