So, since the stories are all in one place (two places?) I thought I'd dig this up again:

Pick any passage of however many words from any story I've written, and comment to this post with that selection. I will then give you the equivalent of a DVD commentary on that snippet: what I was thinking when I wrote it, why I wrote it in the first place, what's going on in the characters' heads, why I chose certain words, what this moment means in the context of the rest of the story, lots of awful puns, and anything else that you'd expect to find on a DVD commentary track.

Anything on either archive is game. You can ask for up to three quotes. Feel free to dig around whether you know the 'verse or not. I'll probably do all three because analysis is fun XD

So, I'm reading a biography of Cardinal Richelieu, and I have to say that I love that there is an actual historical event called the Defenestration of Prague. And it's actually kind of an important one, since it was one of the immediate falling-dominoes that led to the Thirty Years' War.

ETA: I just looked it up on Wikipedia and apparently there were two Defenestrations of Prague--the one I just read about and another in 1419. XD

So, I just got back from seeing Desolation of Smaug, and I have thoughts.

Also, the end credits song is kind of mood whiplashy. And two of my dormant LotR OCs have woken up again. At least not the super embarrassing one.

So, the LOTR dollmaker is finally done. In preparation for the truly daunting task of the fifty bajillion dolls I'm going to make with it, I present genderbent!Isshiri and Sorell in all the dollmakers I've used thus far. This recipe I mostly cobbled together myself. I Googled Chicken Scampi, to sort of see what alterations I might make, but I didn't follow any particular recipe. i also roasted corn on the cob, but that didn't make for pretty pictures.

So, once a week, I make dinner for my housemates. I decided (after I'd made it, so I couldn't get pictures) to start writing it up last week. Tonight was stuffed zucchini boats.
